      The goal Course should introduce students to specificity of vines science. Through study of genus Vitis species and varieties, biology and ecophysiology and influence of environmental factors, finding of new and improvement of existing biotechnological methods and procedures in order to production rationalization of vine planting material, planting vineyards and growing.
      The outcome The student should show knowledge of biological and ecological factors in this scientific field, the latest methods of vines propagation and production of vine planting material, as well as the ampelological and ampeleotechnical measures necessary in analysis of growth, fertility and quality of grapes and wine.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures It implies: ampelology and its history, vine biology and organography, cycle of development and ecological parameters, the latest methods of production of vine planting material, standards and legislation, establishment of plantation through cultivation technology. Analysis of conventional, integral and bio production of grapes. Basic principles of production of table, wine and grapes for drying.
      Contents of exercises Familiarization with specific methodological approaches in implementation of individual ampelotehnic measures in field. Data collection for later statistical processing and making scientific facts and conclusions.

      Methods of teaching Teaching activity will take form throug theoretical teaching, consultations and practical work in the laboratory. It is planned to write and defend one seminar work.
