    The goal The subject should enable students to acquire knowledge about: tobacco manufacturing for the purpose of obtaining consumption products - cigarettes, pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco and snuff; the usability of tobacco; tobacco products structure; smoke formation, components and sensory properties of smoke; methods that can influence the quantity and composition of tobacco and environmental smoke.
    The outcome Students should be able to understand and explain: the usability of tobacco;difference between basic tobacco products-smoke and extract; tobacco products structure and their role in the combustion process and smoke formation;methods that can influence on smoke yield and composition;smoke quality control; principles of action of each individual additive and mechanisms of their transition to smoke.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Cigarette, definition, structure; technological basics of cigarette production; formation and modification of the amount and composition of cigarette smoke; smoking mode; other tobacco products; smoke quality control; sensory properties; classification of additives by types and thermal stability of additives.
    Contents of exercises Principles and process of cigarettes manufacturing; Determination of physical characteristics of cigarettes; Cigarette smoke - smoking process; Determination of physical, chemical and sensory properties of smoke; Determination of the burning rate of cigarettes; Correction of flavor, aroma and burning with additives.

    Methods of teaching Theoretical and practical teaching in combination with interactive teaching will be held in all areas. The course has three test exams and the colloquium at the end of practical classes.
