| The goal | The subject should enable students to acquire knowledge about: all types and varieties of tobacco that are grown in Serbia; quality parameters of tobacco leaf; technological operations and procedures in tobacco processing. Students should be able to: classify all types of tobacco leaf; perform analytical methods for determining sensory, physical and chemical properties of tobacco leaf. | |||

| Contents of lectures | Types and varieties of tobacco; classification of tobacco; tobacco leaf position; basic production areas of each type of tobacco ; sensory, physical and chemical characteristics of tobacco leaf; technological processes of drying, fermentation and eging; changes in characteristics during tobacco processing stages; packaging and storage of processed tobacco. | |||
