The goal | Course provides to student to gain advanced knowledge about organic plant production certification and control, also to gain skills to get more clear insight in certification components and different types of organic plant production certification. | |||
The outcome | Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: define the components of organic certification of plant production; recognize the differences between different types of certification; describe the most important methods of control; integrate previously acquired knowledge about organic plant production; demonstrate readiness for individual and team work and critical thinking. | |||

Contents of lectures | Components of certification of organic plant production; types of organic certification of plant production; certification of collection of wild plants; certification of the growers group; special regulations/requirements for organic certification of the growers group; documentation and record keeping as a requirement for certification. | |||
