| The goal | The student will: -become aware of the reality of optimally using available natural resources and the factors determining it; -research complex and specific problems related to natural resource management and use; -optimally economize on available natural resources based on adopted and systematized practical knowledge. | |||
| The outcome | The subject should enable the student to acquire: a) knowledge of the activities of and limitations to the natural resource optimal use and management; b) skills of making a model of the natural resource optimal use and sustainable management; c) the ability to implement models of the optimal use of natural resources and the environment. | |||

| Contents of lectures | Natural resource economic and ecological significance; Sustainable development concept; Renewable resource and system economics; Access to the natural capital economy; Financial structure and natural resource protection funding source development; Water disposal and use value system elements; Technological bases, service prices, and fees in water management. | |||
| Contents of exercises | Presenting and discussing students’ seminar papers on specific topics in the fields of a) good and bad practice analysis; b) case studies on conflicts of interest related to the natural resource optimal use; c) managers’ behavior and responsibilities in natural resource exploitation companies. | |||
