100 years of Agricultural Faculty
The Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Belgrade has the great honour and pleasure to welcome a large number of guests from the country and abroad at the Ceremonial Academy, on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary, held on 28th March 2019.
The guests were greeted by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, professor Dušan Živković and he said: "The first steps were modest, we started as a faculty with two sections, agricultural and forestry, with only four professors and 45 students. Today, after 100 years, we are the largest and most important higher education institution in the field of agriculture in the region. Over the past hundred years, the faculty gave 24,000 graduated engineers and 1000 doctors of science, and most importantly, for a hundred years, the entrance door of the Faculty was never, and will not be closed."
The President of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts professor Vladimir Kostić, Rector of the University of Belgrade professor Ivanka Popovic and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development, Mr. Mladen Sarcevic, have also addressed to the guests at Ceremonial Academy.
