The goal | The aims of the course are to provide student with knowledge about the physiological and metabolic processes during seed development, dormancy and seed germination which are important for maintaining seed vigour and quality. The aim is also to acquire student with skills to use instruments for monitoring seed physiological and metabolic processes to assess the seed quality indicators
The outcome | At the end of the course the student should demonstrate the knowledge of the processes that contribute to the vitality, germination and seed quality, to understand, analyze and interpret theoretical knowledge in the seed physiology and apply them in experimental scientific works ad well as in practical application in the seed production processes.
