    The goal The subject should enable the student to acquire knowledge/understanding of: methods of cultivation and intensive production of medicinal plants, technical-technological characteristics of medicinal plant production, technical systems and devices for different purposes in the production of medicinal plants (tillage, sowing, care and protection, irrigation, harvesting, finishing, storage, etc.)
    The outcome Acquisition of skills: for the selection, application, adjustment and organization of work of technical systems, application of modern technical solutions in production, recognition, analysis and solving of practical problems in the production of medicinal herbs, noticing critical points of production and improving them by applying modern technical systems

    Contents of lectures Importance of medicinal plant production, technological requirements of medicinal plant cultivation, machines used in production of medicinal plants, machines for harvesting medicinal plants, machines for primary processing, production of seeds and seedlings.

    Methods of teaching Theoretical and practical teaching combined with interactive teaching during lectures, while on the practical part of the subject is provided by the exercises. A periodic knowledge test will be performed tests after each area covered in the lectures. The colloquium is a test of the practical knowledge acquired during the exercises.
