The goal | The aims of the course are to provide student with knowledge about the contemporary concept of plant growth, development and productivity and processes important for optimizing crop growing and yield. The aim is to develop the skills to organize experimental work, use appropriate instruments for monitoring plant growth and development and be able to grow crops in different experimental systems.
The outcome | At the end of the course the student should demonstrate knowledge of the physiological processes based on the growth, development and plant productivity (carbon metabolism, water regime, mineral nutrition), the genetic, hormonal and enzymatic regulation and the role of signals in these processes. The student should be able to scientifically interpret experimental results and practically apply.
