The goal The course is provide students with knowledge of basic hydraulic and hydrological principles; the ability to assess the possibility of their application in the planning, design, management and maintenance of hydro-meliorative systems, to organize measurements of hydraulic/hidrological parameters which are used in process of design, management and maintenance of hydro-meliorative systems.
The outcome The student should be able to: analyse basic hydraulic and hydrological principles, and estimate the possibility of their application in the planning, design, management and maintenance of hydro-meliorative systems, to organize measurements of characteristics of surface and ground water movements and soil moisture.
    Contents
Contents of lectures Methods for measuring levels and discharges in open channels. Devices for the regulation of levels and discharges in hydro - melioration systems. Discharge and pressure regulation in pressurized irrigation system. Planning of fundamental measurements for effectiv management of hydro-meliorative systems.
Contents of exercises Calculation exercises that are paired with theoretical lessons (Level and discharge measurements in open channels. Devices for discharge and level regulation in hydro-melioration systems. Discharge and pressure regulation in pressurized irrigation systems. Assignment work.
