      The goal basic knowledge in the field of planning and execution of experiments, collection and arrangement of original literary data and data obtained through experimental work. They will master the methods of processing the obtained results using mathematical-statistical analysis, the language and style of writing the master's thesis, preparing the manuscript, oral presentation and defense of the thesis.
      The outcome knowledge/understanding - method of planning and conducting experiments in farming and vegetable growing, statistical processing of data obtained in those experiments and correct interpretation of results. skills - following modern literature in the field of farming and vegetable growing,written and oral presentation of the obtained work results.

      Contents of lectures Concept and importance of scientific work; Types; Selection and education of a scientific worker; Field and laboratory research methods; Problems for research; Planning and execution of experiments in farming and vegetable growing; Sorting of collected data, Language and style of writing a scientific paper; Manuscript preparation; Oral presentation and defense of the master's thesis.
      Contents of exercises Determining experimental fields, layout of experimental plots, setting up samples, monitoring plant growth, taking samples from the experimental field and recording morphological and production indicators.
