    The goal a) knowledge of the basic principles of natural resource management in agriculture, formation of agroecosystems, sustainable functioning of agroecosystems, ecological concepts that will benefit farmers on farms; b) skills for proper management of agroecosystems, assessment of productivity and condition of agroecosystems, avoidance of harmful effects on the environment.
    The outcome knowledge (understanding) of: basic principles of agroecology, the influence of environmental factors on cultivated plants and accompanying elements of agroecosystems, functioning and management of agroecosystems. the student should be able to: apply ecological technologies in growing crops, recognize the negative effects of agrotechnical measures on the environment, change and adapt methods

    Contents of lectures Environmental factors Climate and climatic factors - importance of climate and assessment of climate for the needs of agriculture Light, Temperature, Water, Air and air movements (wind); Edaphic and orographic factors, Biotic factors. Concept of biocenosis, ecological niche and application in agriculture; Agroecosystems; Stability in the agroecosystem; Application of ecological principles;
    Contents of exercises Significance of climate and assessment of climate for the needs of agriculture (climate indices and climate diagram); Critical periods; Light; Temperature; Water; Biotic factors; Population ecology of plants in agriculture; Concept of biocenosis; Agroecosystems; Agroecosystem mapping.
