      The goal skills for the correct use of agrotechnical measures in plant production (farming, vegetable growing, fruit growing and viticulture), knowledge of appropriate equipment and mechanization and how to use them.
      The outcome understanding from: the basic principles of agroecology, the influence of environmental factors on the cultivated plant, the functioning and the management of agroecosystems, the application of basic agrotechnical measures in plant production, the management of appropriate equipment and machinery aimed at increasing yield and fertility; recognition of effects and preservation of the environment

      Contents of lectures Ecology and agriculture, Ecological factors, Agroecosystems, Circulation of matter, Energy in the agroecosystem, Application of ecological principles in agriculture. Basic principles of crop production. Agrotechnical measures. Basic and supplementary tillage. Tillage systems. Fertilization. Sowing (Planting). Crop care. The fight against weeds. Crop rotation.
      Contents of exercises the evaluation of the climate for the needs of agriculture. Critical periods. Ways of applying certain agrotechnical measures. Plowing methods. Tillage systems. Determination of the dose of mineral fertilizers. Evaluation of sowing-planting quality. Knowledge of the biological characteristics of the most important weed species. Herbicide application technique. Compilation of the crop rotation.
