    The goal To prepare students for the designing and the implementation of land reclamation GIS projects: identify problem task and project goal, gather data necessary for project execution, analyze data, create special complex models with application of GIS functions, and to manage project results.
    The outcome With having successfully completed this course, students will be able to plan and execute GIS projects through identifying project tasks, spotting and acquiring necessary special data, comparing, analyzing, and presenting collected GIS data.

    Contents of lectures 1.Introduction Geographic Information System (GIS); 2. “ArcCatalog” module application; 3. “ArcMap” module application; 4. Models and Data Types in GIS; 5. GIS project management; 6. Application of GIS in land reclamation
    Contents of exercises Performed on computers. Theoretical lectures are followed by calculation practices. Creation of databases: acquiring data, digitalization and data verification. Preparation and data processing. Planning and execution of land reclamation projects.
