Organization and Management
The Faculty of Agriculture has an organizational structure and a management system that ensures the achievement of tasks and goals. Authorities and responsibilities of the governing bodies, professional bodies, as well as the student parliament are defined by the Statute of the Faculty
For the purpose of the efficient execution of the Faculty's activities and achieving the most favorable results, and in accordance with the character and work process, the employees of the Faculty are organized into the following organizational units, which do not have legal personality status:
- Teaching departments
- Institutes
- Cathedrae
- Experimental farms
- The Central laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture
- The administrative and professional service department
The teaching activities of the Faculty are carried out within the departments. All questions about the teaching activities of the respective departments are considered and decided on by the Teaching-Scientific Board of the (appropriate) institute.
The faculty hosts the following departments:
- The department for Crop Science
- The department for Fruit Science and Viticulture
- The department for Horticulture
- The department for Institute of Animal Science
- The department for Agricultural Engineering
- The department for Soil Menagment
- The department for Phytomedicine
- The department for Food Technolgy
- The department for Agroeconomy
Within the department, and according to the study programs of the department, appropriate study modules are created. The department activities are managed by the director of the institute.
For the organization and carrying out of scientific and research work and studies, the Faculty has the following institutes:

- The Institute for Phytomedicine
- The Institute for Agricultural Engineering
- The Institute for Food Technolgy and Biochemistry

The department is the basic teaching-scientific unit. The departments are barrers and organizers of teaching, scientific and professional activities. The Faculty organizes a department for one narrow scientific field or for more closely related scientific fields, with the aim of coordinating teaching and scientific work within the field, or those fields at the Faculty. The faculty has the following departments at the respective institutes:

Experimental Farms:
In order to organize and perform some forms of teaching, practical training and scientific research, the Faculty organizes experimental farms as a base of teaching and scientific work.
The Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture "Radmilovac"
At the EFFA, a part of the teaching, professional and production practice and other forms of work are carried out in the realization of programs and curriculum from the subjects of first degree studies for the needs of the Faculty and other users.
With the aim of ensuring high teaching standards, the EFFA collections of appropriate plant species and genetic resources such as gene banks are compiled for conducting scientific research and managing reputable experiments.
At EFFA, scientific work and research is organized in order to reach set standards considering studies, for their development and improvement, as well as for the development and improvement of the profession as a whole.
The Central Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture:
The CLPF has the following Laboratory Units:
• for land testing;
• for examining the protection of plants and food products;
• for microbiology;
• for animal products;
• for plant products technology;
The electron microscopy laboratory
The Laboratory for Electron Microscopy is a special work unit, without the characteristics of an organizational unit.
The laboratory deals with fundamental and applied research, as well as providing expert services in the field of microstructural and morphological analysis of functional, structural and biological materials.
The Administrative and Professional Office
Within the Administrative and Professional Office organizational unit, legal, personnel and general affairs are conducted; activities concerning studies; financial accounting; technical, purchasing, publishing, library work as a support to the teaching process andscientific research work as well as other tasks that provide conditions for the unhindered conduct of teaching and scientific work at the Faculty.
The Administrative and Professional Service consists of the following organizational units:
- Legal, Human Resources and General Affairs Office;
- Financial and accounting Office;
- Student Office;
- Technical and Procurement Offices;
- Publishing department;
- Information Technology Office
- Library.
Within individual departments, special units are formed as appropriate.
The Dean
The dean is the authority of the Faculty's management. The Dean has rights and obligations prescribed by law, the University Statute and the Statute of the Faculty. The dean is assisted by vice-deans in accordance with the provisions of the Statute. The Faculty has three vice-deans selected from members of the teaching staff who are full-time employees at the Faculty: for teaching, for science and cooperation with economics and finance, and for one student vice-dean.
The Faculty Council
The Managing Authority of the Faculty is the Faculty Council. The faculty council consists of 27 members, of which: 15 members are elected by the Faculty staff: 12 (twelve) members are elected by the Faculty Council, 2 members are elected by non-teaching staff, 1 member is elected by the EFFA “Radmilovac”, 4 members are elected by the Student Parliament and 8 members are appointed by the founder - the Republic of Serbia.
The professional bodies of the Faculty are:
1. The Teaching - Scientific Board of the Faculty;
2. The Election Board of the Faculty;
3. The Teaching - Scientific Boardof the Institute;
4. The Department Board
The Teaching - the Scientific Board of the Faculty (Faculty Board) is the highest professional body of the Faculty and consists of teachers and assistants from the Faculty who are full-time employees. The Board of the Faculty has 48 members, 6 (six) representatives from each institute and consists of:
• Heads of the institutes;
• Heads of Departments (not more than 5 from each institute);
• Representatives of institutes (from those institutes with less than 5 heads of departments).
The Faculty Board has the following standing boards and committees:
1. The Teaching Board;
2. The Board for doctoral studies;
3. The Board for Development, Scientific, Professional Cooperation and Lifelong Learning;
4. The Publishing Committee;
5. The Committee for conducting the entrance examination;
6. The Committee for International Cooperation;
- The Committee for the provision, monitoring and improvement of quality.
The Electoral Board of the Faculty:
1) defines the proposals for appointment to teacher titles;
2) conducts an election for associate titles;
3) determines the Commission for the writing of a report on candidates for election to the positions of teachers and associates;
4) makes records of the candidate for the Rector, in the manner and procedure prescribed by the University Statute.
The Teaching and Scientific Board
The Teaching and Scientific Board of the Institute is composed of all teachers and associates (assistants, teaching assistants and assistants) of the institutes who are employed full-time at the Faculty.
The Department Board
The Department Board consists of teachers and associates (assistants, teaching assistants and assistants - trainees) who carry out teaching and scientific work in a subject within the department and who are in full-time employees at the Faculty.
The Student Parliament
The Student Parliament of the Faculty (hereinafter: the Student Parliament) is the body through which students exercise their rights and protect their interests at the Faculty. The Student Parliament is elected directly by secret ballot by students enrolled in the academic year in which their respective study programs are carried out at the Faculty.
The activities of the governing bodies, professional bodies and the student parliament is periodically evaluated.
