Planning and quality control
With the aim of achieving basic tasks and goals, the Faculty has prescribed and adopted the procedure of short-term and long-term planning of its activities. Within its activities, the Faculty performs all forms of educational, scientific, research and professional activities and controls the achieved results. Planning is based on detailed analysis of relevant internal and external factors and is based on systematic and continuous data collection and their expert analysis. The planning results are planning documents that are available to the public and are applied in the work of the Faculty.
The planning procedure involves relevant activities in quality assurance, study programs development, investment, realization of teaching process, publishing activities, maintenance of joint work funds, admission of new persons to employment, scientific and research projects development, scientific and professional symposium organization, as well as contracting with suppliers and subcontractors.
The activity plan includes elements related to: enrollment of students at all levels of study, investment, scientific research, teaching, organizing scientific and professional symposiums, publishing, public procurement, international cooperation, maintenance of work equipment, equipment , facilities and installations, hygiene and safety at work, the work of professional services and finance.
The faculty council adopted the quality assurance strategy at the proposal of the dean, which envisions quality assurance areas and measures for their realization. The Faculty makes a report that is available to the public on the results of quality assurance control. The Faculty regularly reviews the effectiveness of the conducted planning and control and works on their improvement.
The control is done by comparing the planned and achieved goals and by comparing the achieved results of the Faculty with its results in the previous period and with results of similar higher educational institutions in the country and the world. The Faculty regularly and systematically controls the fulfillment of basic tasks, giving priority to the achievement of educational goals. Publicity is provided by enabling access to documentation related to planning and control on the website of the Faculty.
Internal quality assurance mechanisms
Based on the mission and vision, the Faculty of Agriculture has passed and implemented the Quality Assurance Strategy in its work. In doing so, the Faculty has established a clear and detailed formulation of the quality assurance strategy of the teaching process, management of the higher education institution, non-institutional activities, as well as working and study conditions, which is accessible to the public. For the purpose of continuous quality assurance, the Faculty has established a special Commission for quality assurance and self-evaluation, from among teachers, associates, non-teaching staff and students. The Commission for Quality Assurance has four sub-commissions. The Commission has the following competencies:
- prepares the proposal of the Strategy for quality assurance and compiles action plans for the implementation of the Strategy;
- promotes the building of a quality culture at the Faculty;
- prepares proposals for improvement of standards, procedures and methods of quality checking, in accordance with the standards of the National Council for Higher Education;
- plans and prepares activities related to monitoring and quality control at the Faculty, according to the annual work plan;
- considers reports on regular self-evaluation of the Faculty;
- submits a report on the status in the field of quality to the Teaching-scientific Board of the Faculty at least once a year;
- proposes, as necessary, extraordinary self-evaluation in certain areas;
- proposes external quality assurance and provides expert assistance in preparing documentation for accreditation before a competent authority;
- monitors the implementation of the Strategy, standards and procedures for quality assurance and proposes measures to eliminate the identified weaknesses in order to improve quality;
- establishes working bodies - sub-commissions, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Commission;
- passes rules of procedure;
- performs other activities of importance for the improvement and development of the quality of study programs, teaching and working conditions.
The Commission is involved in the implementation of internal and external audits for the purpose of certification, supervision or recertification of a higher education institution, study programs and diplomas.
Students play an active role in the adoption and implementation of the quality assurance strategy. Particularly significant is the assessment of the quality of the teaching process, which is determined by student surveys.
Self-evaluation is a key part of the quality assurance strategy and is carried out at three-year intervals.
All employees of the Faculty, each in their own domain of work, contribute to the implementation of the defined strategy.
The self-evaluation report of the institution includes all the elements of the quality of all study programs, including the participation of students in self-evaluation and quality assessment. Based on the examination of the fulfillment of the standards and the results of the questionnaire, reports on the self-evaluation of study programs in basic academic studies and graduate academic-master studies are compiled. Self-evaluation of study programs in the "Report on Self-Evaluation and Quality Assessment" is represented in the curriculum, curriculum structure, resources. Students of all ages, at the end of the semester, for each subject, assess the quality of teaching and the teacher (teacher and associate). Evaluation is carried out systematically. Self-evaluation reports are compiled, reviewed by the Quality Assurance Commission and forwarded to the Teaching-Scientific Board of the Faculty for adoption with proposals for improvement.
The Faculty of Agriculture has a general act on textbooks. The Faculty defined its policies on textbooks (planning, security, publishing, etc.) by regulations on textbooks and publishing activities.
The most important task in the coming years is to improve the work and raise the level of the Journal of Agricultural Sciences published by the Faculty.
Faculty`s sources of finance
The Faculty independently plans the schedule and purpose of financial resources to ensure financial stability and liquidity over a longer period of time.
The Faculty provides publicity and transparency of its sources of funding and how to use financial resources through a business report and an annual account that is adopted by the Faculty Board.
The Faculty earns income from the budget of the Republic of Serbia and on the basis of the activities it performs from the actions for which it is registered.
All income from the budget funds is public and available to everyone.
The Faculty acquires funds for performing activities from the following sources:
- funds provided by the founder;
- scholarships;
- donations, gifts and legacies;
- 4. funds for financing scientific-research and professional work;
- projects and contracts related to the realization of teaching, research and consulting services;
- fees for professional, commercial and other services;
- founder's rights and contracts with third parties and
- other sources, in accordance with the Law
The funds that the Faculty achieves, except for the funds provided by the founder, make up the Faculty's own income (scholarships, provision of services to third parties, gifts, donations, sponsorships and other sources of funds).
When disposing of the funds referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article, the Faculty of Legal Affairs shall act on its own behalf and for its own account, in accordance with the Law, the Statute of the University and the Statute of the Faculty.
The faculty council is liable to the competent ministry for the purpose and economical spending of funds allocated from the budget.
Funds realized by the Faculty are allocated to the financial plan of the Faculty.
The proposal for a financial plan for the fiscal year, or financial plan, is adopted in accordance with the regulations governing the budget system.
T he distribution of income is carried out in accordance with the financial plan, and in the manner prescribed by other general acts of the Faculty and the corresponding decisions of the Faculty Council.
The Faculty of Agriculture has continuously achieved positive financial results in the previous work. The funding sources of the Faculty are sufficient to ensure quality teaching throughout the duration of study programs at all levels of higher education.
