The goal The course allows the student to acquire: knowledge of the basic principles of the structure and reactivity of matter, how chemical changes take place, chemical and physical properties of the elements; the skill of handling laboratory supplies, performing and monitoring of chemical experiments, the ability to analytically and critically approach solving chemical problems and tasks.
The outcome Upon completion of the course, the student should: understand chemical and physical changes in substances; explain the fundamental bases of the structure and reactivity of matter; acquire knowledge in the field of chemical equilibrium; master basic laboratory work; understands what micro, macro and essential elements are; logically connects theoretical, experimental and computational knowledge.
