The goal The aim of the course is to familiarize with the concept of indicator microorganisms, their detection and importance in monitoring of different environments, familiarization with standards and criteria for appropriate indicator species i risk assessment. Application of software solutions in predictive modeling in indicator monitoring microorganisms in the environment.
The outcome The student will be able to: distinguish indicator microorganisms, apply different methods for the detection of indicator microorganisms, keep records for experiments and the data obtained from the experiment in a laboratory notebook, integrate theoretical and practical knowledge to analyze the quality of the environment, to correctly perform an assessment of risks using software models.
