    The goal knowledge/understanding of the specifics of organic field production as a special farming system. the skill of using and nurturing the ability to transfer knowledge to production based on ecological principles in organic field production.
    The outcome development of critical and creative thinking about environmental awareness and preservation of non-renewable resources, presentation of acquired knowledge within the course, oral and written assessment of learning outcomes of the course and evaluation of the teaching process during the realization of the course, which is the basis of production of biologically valuable and healthy food.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Basic biotechnical principles of growing plants in organic field production. The importance of climate and soil. Specificities and adaptation of agrotechnical measures in organic production. Fertilization specifics. The importance of crop care in organic production. Weed control measures in organic field production. Crop rotation. Intercropping.
    Contents of exercises Soil fertility conservation and increase. Methods of preparation of different organic fertilizers for use in organic agriculture. Modification of agrotechnical measures (cultivation, fertilizing, sowing-planting, crop care, weed control, crop production systems - crop rotation).
